How I Help My Human Keep Our Park Clean: A Dog's Guide to Litter Picking

Woof, woof, my furry friends! My dad loves taking me for walks in the park, and I love all the smells, sights, and sounds. But there's one thing that really grinds my paws: litter. Yep, you heard me right. Litter. It's gross, smelly, and makes our park look like a dump.

That's why I've taken it upon myself to help my human keep our park clean. Here's how I do it:

  1. Sniff out the litter: My nose is pretty powerful, and I can sniff out litter from a mile away. Whether it's a discarded soda can or a crumpled up napkin, I'll lead my human straight to the trash.

  2. Use my mouth to pick up the litter: Now, this part can be a bit tricky. I have to be careful not to pick up anything that's dangerous or toxic, like broken glass or discarded food. But with a little bit of training, I've learned to pick up litter with my mouth like a pro. Mostly crunchy plastic bottles! I'll have little run around with them too. Better than balls!

  3. Give my human the litter: I'm not the one who's going to carry around all that trash, am I? Nope, I just give it to my human. They're the ones with the opposable thumbs and the ability to dispose of it properly. My dad uses a litter picker so he doesn't get his hands dirty, and he's always wearing gloves at every stage of the journey.

  4. Get rewarded: Now, here's the best part. Every time I pick up litter, I get a treat! That's right, my dad knows that I deserve a reward for doing my part to keep our park clean.

So, my furry friends, if you're like me and you can't stand litter, then it's time to take action. Get your pawrents to join you on a litter-picking adventure in the park. Who knows, you might even get a treat out of it!

Remember, every little bit helps when it comes to keeping our park clean and healthy. By incorporating litter picking into your daily routine, you'll be doing your part to make a positive impact on the environment. So let's get to work, my furry friends! Woof!

See you all soon furry friends!

Ida
